About Springfield Restoration & Remodeling

Daniel Miller, Kris Miller and Bret Miller

Any lasting company owes its success to a strong foundation. In the case of Springfield Restoration & Remodeling in Harlan, Ind., that foundation is innovation and versatility in the remodeling market, and a commitment to employees and customers.

Springfield Restoration & Remodeling has an impressive resume. It has served northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio since 1976 and offers a variety of ever-expanding services for residential and commercial customers including general remodeling, insurance loss restoration, windows and doors, premium seamless steel siding, roofing, brick and stone masonry repair, and recently it added HAZWOPER (HAZardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response) certification.

Starting a business involving carpentry work was in Dan Miller’s genes. In 1976, he began Springfield Enterprises with his cousin and uncle. His grandfather was an Amish carpenter. His father, Henry, became an accomplished and highly respected handyman in the community. Dan simply expanded the footprint.

Not surprisingly, Dan’s sons followed his lead. In September of 2010, ownership and leadership of Springfield Enterprises was transferred to Kris and Bret, the next generation of Miller entrepreneurs who are bringing their own influence and direction to the company.

A sense of family has always been important to the Springfield Restoration & Remodeling team. Of its employees, nearly half have been with the company over 15 years, and some fathers and sons work together to complete the family feel.

Springfield Restoration & Remodeling realizes that restoration can be greatly simplified when one company handles both the cleanup and the reconstruction phases of a disaster, while providing emotional support as well.

Springfield plans to be around for the long haul. It has successfully transitioned to the next generation of leadership, and continues its reputation in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio for caring service and excellence in its field of restoration and remodeling.
