Springfield Enterprises Inc. was established in 1976. The company was started by Dan Miller, Henry Miller, Tim Stauffer, and Amos Zehr. The company started as a siding and gutter subcontractor to area builders.
In 1978 Dan and Tim assumed Amos & Henry's ownership interest in Springfield Enterprises. Although, Henry continued to work in the company.
The economic downturn in the late 70's and early 80's forced change. When new construction jobs were few and far between, Springfield answered by using their expertise to replace widows, siding, and roofs. Homeowners had a need to repair and improve what they had instead of building new.
In 1990 Dan Miller becomes sole owner of Springfield Enterprises Inc.
1994 With the lessons of the downturn in the early 80's fresh in his mind, Dan decided to further diversify, starting to perform insurance loss services. Springfield started rebuilding / repairing structures damaged by fire.
The 90's and the decision to enter into the insurance loss field, brought on the need to start working with technology. Estimating turns away from pen and paper and Springfield purchases their first computer.
In 2003 Dan adds mitigation to his restoration and insurance loss services. This made Springfield one of only a few full service companies in the area at that time. This decision enabled Springfield to dry, clean, and rebuild structures as well as clean and restore contents.
In 2010 Dan passed the torch to his sons, Kris and Bret Miller. Dan remains very active in the company as a project manager. Henry is still active in the company as well, moving materials to and from job sites.
In 2013 Springfield received a new look. The new name and updated logo better exemplify the services Springfield is able to offer.
